How to quickly select the whole paragraph?

On mac, simply triple-click the text and the whole paragraph will be selected.

Note for iPhone or iPad users: this only works if you have a mouse connected.

How to merge some of my highlights?

There are 2 main ways to merge your highlights:

Start your selection at the beginning of the first highlight and end it at the end of the last one. All highlights within that range will be combined into a single highlight, regardless of their original colors.
Note: If there are any gaps between the highlights, those gaps will also be included in the merged highlight.
Simply start and end your selection anywhere within the boundaries of the highlights with the same color and they will be merged into one.
